I’ve begun to develop experimental video projects (just like photos, but they move). I’ll add more to this as I have time to go through more footage.
Arches Drive
We recently did a road trip through Utah and had a GoPro Hero 9 mounted on the car for most of it. This capture came out particularly well, a morning drive from the Arches National Park visitor center to the Devil's Garden Trailhead. The drive starts with golden light, with dramatic changes as the road twists relative to the sun, and full daylight color by the end of the trip. Thus, it's a dynamic video with reasonable compromise between golden hour views and enough light output to keep the the small sensor camera at lower ISO. It's a 21 minute video generated from a single continuous video stream (with moderate speedup during the repetitive parts). Mirroring the single shot format, accompaniment provided consists of a single take, single track, 21 minute acoustic blues improv in E. The final result is hopefully one that provides a downhome acoustic and organic vibe propagating through one of the world's inimitable natural creations.
